Plastic Platform Dolly
Plastic Platform Dolly
The Plastic Platform Dolly is a compact, wheeled transport base designed for moving compatible plastic crates, containers, and goods in warehouses, factories, and logistics facilities.
Available in solid-deck, open-frame, and reinforced-platform designs, it offers a practical, reusable solution for everyday material handling.
Plastic Platform Dolly Overview
Plastic platform dollies are used to move crates and containers around warehouses, factories, and stockrooms. Each dolly has a plastic base fitted with four wheels, allowing goods to be moved across the floor without carrying the full weight by hand.
These dollies have no handles. Instead, a crate or container is placed on top and pushed to the required location. Their low height makes them useful for moving goods between storage shelves, packing areas, and workstations.
Aceally offers several platform designs, including solid-deck, open-frame, and cross-braced models.
How to Use a Plastic Platform Dolly
Using a plastic dolly is straightforward. There is no handle to assemble or operate.
Place the Crate
Set a compatible crate or container on the dolly. Check that it sits securely on the platform.
Push the Load
Push the container slowly across a smooth, level floor. Keep the load balanced while moving.
Move It into Position
Roll the dolly to the packing table, storage area, or next workstation.
Handling Note: Make sure the container fits the platform and does not exceed the dolly’s rated load capacity. Avoid moving unstable or excessively high stacks.
Available Plastic Platform Dolly Models
Solid Deck Dolly
The solid-deck version has a continuous plastic platform with a patterned surface. It provides a broad base for containers and other suitable loads.
Open Frame Dolly
These models have a rectangular open-frame design with four wheels. They are intended for crates and containers whose bases fit securely on the frame.
Cross-Braced Dolly
These models have cross-shaped support members inside the frame. The additional support points provide a different platform layout for compatible containers.
Key Features
Handle-Free Design
No fixed handle is needed. Place a compatible container on the platform and push it to move the load.
Three Platform Styles
Choose from solid-deck, open-frame, and cross-braced designs.
Four-Wheel Base
Each dolly has four wheels for moving goods across suitable indoor floors.
Low Platform Height
The low-profile base keeps the container close to the floor and avoids the extra space required by a conventional trolley handle.
Less Manual Carrying
Crates can be moved between work areas without lifting and carrying them over the full distance.
Suitable for Repeated Use
The plastic platform can be used repeatedly for everyday crate movement in warehouses and other indoor work areas.
Where Are Plastic Platform Dollies Used?
Warehouses
Moving crates between storage shelves, picking areas, and packing stations.
Factories
Carrying containers of parts or supplies between workstations.
Retail Stockrooms
Moving stock containers during receiving, sorting, and shelf replenishment.
Distribution Centers
Moving crates between sorting, packing, and dispatch areas.
Choosing the Right Plastic Platform Dolly
Not every dolly fits every crate. Before selecting a model, check the following:
01Crate Size and Base Design
The bottom of the crate should rest securely on the platform. Open-frame models need particular attention to the shape and size of the crate base.
02Platform Type
A solid deck provides a continuous surface. Open-frame and cross-braced models have different support layouts.
03Weight of the Load
Check the rated capacity of the selected model against the weight of the crate and its contents.
04Floor Surface
Check that the wheels are suitable for the floor where the dolly will be used.
05Daily Use
Consider how far the crates need to travel, how often they will be moved, and the space available for turning.
